Today I m painting the majestic River Banks that line many of Australia s river systems and waterways. I will be working on a tributary of the Murray river (Millewa or Tongala to the traditional custodians), which is the third longest navigable river in the world after the Amazon and Nile rivers. It is 2508 Kilometres (1, 558 miles) long, spanning New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. I will be working exclusively with large palette knifes and oil paint and doing the whole painting in one go, wetonwet, or alla prima.
