It is an honour to unveil the full debut album from Geist of Ouachita the latest project from one of the most compelling artists in USBM today, on a label which has been a longtime favourite of mine. The combination of Roanoake and Signal Rex should be enough to convince you something is happening here, if the ravening werebear rending a body asunder on the cover art didnt already hook you in before you even get to the music itself. On these six tracks, Roanoake brings his indominable, characterful raw melodicism to a ghostly horror themed album, with subtly sinister synths underpinning the narratives carved out by his distinctively catchy riffs.
