U2 Song For Someone
Short Film by Vincent Haycock, Starring Woody Harrelson The nearly eightminute film stars Woody Harrelson as Aaron Brown, a prison inmate who is finally being released after a long sentence. Over the strains of the Irish bands elegiac Songs of Innocence track Song for Someone, the clip documents Aarons long walk to freedom (it takes him almost the entire span of the video to reach the prison gates). Waiting for Aaron at the end of the road is his teenage daughter, played by Harrelsons reallife daughter Zoe. By now the song has finished, and Aarons real work has begun, as theres an understandable reticence emanating from Zoes character. Shes there to pick up her dad, but she pulls away when he tries to stroke her cheek, offering a handshake instead. Aaron is overcome with joy at the sight of his beautiful, nowgrownup child, but the video ends on an ambiguous note of What now
