1985 SAR Kenworth WB Hunter

1985 AustralianBuilt Kenworth SAR, powered by a 400 Cummins, 13speed RR, riding on Torsion bar suspension. I don t remember the diff ratio but I can tell you it was one quick truck. Out of all my working career in transport, this was one of my favorite trucks to drive. I mainly did local work in Melbourne and country Victoria with a trip to South Australia and on occasion, Sydney NSW. I did mostly general freight which meant I was often swapping trailers. Here I am arriving at a premises in Laverton s industrial area, then we head to Hunter s Melbourne depot on the corner of Holmwood and Somerville Road, West Footscray. We then head to Salta Drive and pick up a load of packaged beer from CUB Altona, we throw a tarp over our load and then proceed to drive out and pull up in Salta Drive to complete the tarp job (not shown).
