Gery Mendes The Raven ( Edgar Allan Poe)

THE RAVEN A work that has been in the collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen since 1951 but has never been exhibited to the public is Le Courbeau, the French translation of Edgar Allan Poes famous poem The Raven, with lithographic illustrations by Édouard Manet. The folder is a centrepiece of the exhibition La La La Human Steps and the Rotterdam singer, actor Gery Mendes has made a musical version of the poem specially for the occasion. By doing so he is following in the footsteps of Lou Reed,
