Faites lui mes aveux, Faust, C. F. Gounod
This aria belongs to Siebel, a young boy who is in love with Marguerite, his friends sister. This aria is happening in Marguerites garden, where Siebel is picking flowers, but because of bad luck predicted by Méphistophélès, they all wilt in his hands. However, he manages to keep them fresh by dipping his hands in holy water that he finds in a font. When the flowers are saved from the devils curse, Siebel restores his confidence to express his love to Marguerite.
