Tea Pots Aka Teapots (1955)

Camera pans across to show a table laden with various teapots. Narrator speaks of the history of tea. We are at the London Tea Centre and various examples of teapot are presented to the camera. The narrator tells us a little bit about each one. There is one shaped like a duck another is an example of Royle s Patent invented by an Englishmen this uses the lid as a piston to squirt the tea out of the spout. One of the teapots a piece of early Staffordshire pottery has a poem on one side which reads: Those who love good tea must please remember me. Be sure allow the water to boil then the tea you will not spoil. C, U of the poem. The other side reads: Happy you may be and long may you live to drink out of me.
