Catholic bishop killed in LA: Husband of housekeeper arrested, sheriff says, Live NOW from FOX
The suspect arrested for the murder of Los Angeles Bishop David O Connell in Hacienda Heights was identified as the husband of the bishop s housekeeper. Carlos Medina, 65, was taken into custody early Monday after a standoff with authorities at his Torrance home located in the 20400 block of S. Kenwood Avenue, LA County Sheriff Robert Luna announced during a press conference. Medina had previously done work at O Connell s home, according to Luna, and claimed the bishop owed him money. Medina also drove a similar compact SUV to the one seen on surveillance video leaving the driveway of the bishop s home Sunday morning.
