Nikolai Medtner: Sonata Reminiscenza

Luisa Splett plays Nikolai Medtner: Sonata Reminiscenza Born in Winterthur, Switzerland, on 20th September 1983 to a family of musicians. Undergraduate piano studies with Silvia NäsbomThellung and Prof. KarlAndreas Kolly in Zurich (ZHdK, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) and with Yelena Scherbakova at the Universidad Mayor de Chile in Santiago, Chile Since 2007, PhD student at the Saint Petersburg State conservatory named after RimskyKorsakov in St. Petersburg, Russia, studying with Professor Oleg Malov. In November 2009, she performed her graduation concert, receiving an excellent mark. Her dissertation work focuses on the Swiss pianist and composer Emil Frey and his creative efforts in Russia during the early part of the 20th century. Concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Portugal, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Belgium, England, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and the US. Organizes concerts and festivals in Switzerland and Russia.
