Quaint Railways (1933)
Not all the Railways in Britain have the manyton engines such as we see generally. Here s a C, U of a man standing beside a railway engine pressing on a pump device. C, U of part of the engine. This little fellow runs near Littleworth, beyond Peterborough, and acts as a feeder to the big line M, S of man walking across a plank of wood which spans a small canal. He is carrying a sack on his shoulder, this is loaded onto the train. L, S of the train approaching the camera. A full size steam train pulls up alongside the miniature one. A big contrast perhaps but they both have their work to do M, S of the two trains, a young boy walks between them with a large black and white dog possibly a Great Dane. He poses with the dog, an engine driver stands on a step looking at the camera. And here s another railway in this case a very miniature one. Most boys would lie awake all night, if they thought it was to be theirs in the M, S of a large model railway trains move around
