Japans last working Forest Railway Discovered on Yakushima Island
Warning This video includes long unedited scenes of a narrow gauge railway winding through green forests and over dangerous bridges. Railfans, read on: Although there were originally four separate forest railways on Yakushima Island, this is the only one which still has its rails in place today. What we discovered here, is that although this railway remains a popular walking track, it is still very much operational and has been used in recent times to transport cedar for special Temple restoration.
