Zabbaleen: Trash Town RT Documentary
Zabbaleen is a giant dump and a city of professional scavengers in Egypt. The awful smell distinguishes this place from others. The average life expectancy here does not exceed 55 years, yet people work and live here right on the trash. Every day locals collect used glass, plastic, and paper in Cairo and bring it home for sorting. The job isn t prestigious or wellpaid but at least it feeds them. Learn more about life on the enormous landfill in our documentary, Zabbaleen: Trash Town, to mark this Recycling Day. , HumanStoriesrtdocumentary
