Alec R. Costandinos Vol. 6: Thank God Its Friday (1978)
And only two weeks after the second Love And Kisses album had hit the stores two new titles were released on them, the title track from the upcoming disco movie Thank God It s Friday that premiered on May 19, 1978, and You re The Most Precious Thing In My Life. Thank God It s Friday gave Costandinos his biggest pop hit, peaking at, 22 on the US charts (and also, 23 R B, ,16 in Sweden and, 11 in New Zealand). The song along Donna Summer s Last Dance, Pattie Brooks s After Dark and Sunshine s Take It To The Zoo, was on the top of the Billboard Disco Charts for 6 weeks in June, July 1978. The soundtrack album also went gold, reaching, 10 in the US charts, although the film itself did in no way rival the success of Saturday Night Fever that Casablanca had hoped for.
