The environmental cost of a surge in gold mining in Venezuela has been exposed by satellite images, showing dozens of mines on the summit of a remote mountain in the state of Amazonas, in the south of the country. The Venezuelan government has pledged to clamp down on illegal mining. Stephen Gibbs reports from the capital Caracas.
