I had just left Immokalee, a farming community thats the poorest place in the state, and was on my way to Miami. But before I got there, I needed to see whats been called the most dangerous place in the state. So in early May, I spent the afternoon in Florida City. A lot of people in Florida dont even know where Florida City even is. You can understand why. Its not very big. Its way out at the entrance to the Everglades, in the far reaches of MiamiDade County. If you know the area, its where the famous tourist stop Robert Is Here is located. You know the place where you buy odd canned goods, weirdlooking produce, and feed all the farm animals.
