Saraswati Gayatri Mantra
Goddess Saraswati is one of the three Shakti Matas, the other two being Goddess Parvati and Goddess Lakshmi. She is the goddess of knowledge, Vedas and learning. The earliest reference to Goddess can be seen in Rig Veda. She is described as the consort of Lord Brahma. In Taittariyopanishad she is referred as Vagdevi (Goddess of speech). Goddess Saraswati is depicted as wearing a white sari and seated on a lotus flower, holding a Veena. She is flanked by a peacock. She is seen as the Goddess of talent, music, poetry and speech.
