Wet day in September is a song by Pussycat. The group released it in 1978 as a single and the album of the same name. The song is written by Werner Theunissen. The single was produced by Eddy Hilberts and the arrangement came from Paul Natte. Pussycat was a Dutch pop group from Brunssum in Limburg led by the three Kowalczyk sisters: Toni, Betty and Marianne. Other members of the band were Lou Willé (Toni s thenhusband), Theo Wetzels, Theo Coumans, and John Theunissen. The band had four international hits in a row in the midseventies: Mississippi (1975), Georgia (1976), Smile (1976) and My broken souvenirs (1977) and then a series of hit singles in the Netherlands and Belgium. Mississippi was number 1 the Netherlands and in another 15 countries but was not hit in the US, where that river originates. Mississippi achieved 22 gold records.
