The title says it all lol Also the show indicates that the Shuttle refuels in Earth orbit for TLI and possibly lunar orbit for TEI, and given the fact Jamestown serves as a sort of refueling station for spacecraft with its hydrolox supply, the shuttle could have enough fuel to slow down its velocity to conventional speed for reentry.
