Take the money and run : Danish artist submits empty frames to gallery after being paid
Danish Artist Jens Haaning has lost a case in court resulting in him having to repay the Kunsten Art Gallery after he submitted empty frames. The gallery loaned the artist more than half a million Danish Kroner about 120, 000 Australian and expected him to provide a work of art comparing the cost of living pressures in Denmark and Austria, says Sky News host Chris Kenny. Focusing on his own cost of living pressures the artist sent two pieces to the Kunsten gallery they were two empty picture frames. The artist kept the money and called his work Take the Money and Run. He said that breaching the contract and taking the money was part of the art, Mr Kenny said.
