Quiet and Clear by Jeff Pearce (4 K video)

Quiet and Clear, from the newly released In Late Summer available on Bandcamp The original version of Quiet and Clear was recorded on my Tascam four track cassette recorder in late summer of 1993, but didnt appear on a recording of mine until 1999s Daylight Slowly CD, a collection of unreleased 4track demos, released on the Hypnos label. Ive long thought that Quiet and Clear deserved better from me; the original version suffers more than a bit from the reduced audio quality of the audio cassette format. This new version was digitally recorded in late summer 2022 in my home studio, and relearning a song that I hadn t played in almost 30 years was a bit of a challenge. However, the song, and newfound clarity in the recording reminded me of the many nights in the early 1990 s I spent looking at the quiet and clear night skies.
