Barrister Alleges Government Created Hostile Environment For Refugees In UK

The Home Secretary said the Government must and will do more after a migrant died and another was left in a critical condition when a boat sank in the English Channel. More than 60 people were on board a boat as it began to deflate around 8km (five miles) off the northern coast of France in the early hours of Friday morning, the French coastguard said. Barrister Dr S Chevlan tells TalkTVs Vanessa Feltz that the majority of those arriving in the UK are genuine refugees and that the Government must provide safe routes for their arrival.
