(7 Oct 2020) MATT DAMON AT 50 Matt Damon reaches a milestone birthday on 8 October and he has a lot to celebrate. Damon was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1970, and as a teen, appeared in high school productions alongside his friend Ben Affleck. He attended Harvard University for three years, but left to appear in the 1993 western Geronimo: An American In 2013, Damon was awarded the Harvard Arts Medal. Damon hit an early career high point with Good Will Hunting, for which he won an Oscar in 1998 for best original screenplay along with Affleck. He was also nominated for best actor, and went on to become one of Hollywood s most soughtafter leading men.
