Caught By The Camera No. 7 (1934)
Titles read: Caught By The Camera. Various locations. Several shots of men working on a huge building site in the valley of Murcia, near the Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy. A new road is being built through the valley, and we see the men digging up trees and moving them to be transplanted elsewhere. We then see a novel onemanband played in a nightclub ( ) by the inventor of this Victophonium, Mr Shepherd. He sits playing a drum kit and blowing on a tuba (there are several other instruments attached), and accompanies a gramophone record. People dance as he plays. C, U of a clock face shows the time at one o clock. Various shots at Paddington railway station in London; good shots of steam engines. We see that goods wagons are hauled by by electrically driven capstans here, as smoke and sparks from the engines are considered harmful to goods.
