For Pierre Soulages

To commemorate the recent exhibition Pierre Soulages: A Century, Lévy Gorvy commissioned an original piece by composer Anthony Vine inspired by the ephemeral nature of artists paintings. The composition For Pierre Soulages was performed by The Rhythm Method string quartet, and according to Vine, presents a monolithic plane of tonesa sonic monochrome of sortsthat subtly flickers and reflects off the surfaces and bodies in the space.
