USA Charlotte Charlotte s Hornets Nest Park gets cleaning WMSCOG
Clad in bright yellow shirts and blue vests, volunteers from World Mission Society Church of God spent Sunday morning beautifying a popular north Charlotte park. More than 65 volunteers cleaned Hornets Nest Park as part of the Worldwide Environmental Cleanup Campaign for the Passover, which is celebrated by the churchs international locations. Its a very important park in Charlotte, and we wanted to help get it ready for spring, said Marshall Faraday, one of the events organizers. The church was founded in Korea in 1964 and has more than 2, 000 churches in more than 150 countries. Throughout the morning, volunteers leveled mulch and picked up trash by the water, ultimately filling 60 bags with trash. Angela Hill, who has been a member of the church for nine years, said she understands what a difference a clean park can make for families.
