Dissertation Science Parody of Satisfaction by Benny Benassi

This video is the parody version to my Science Dance Your PhD 2019 competition entry. This version can be accessed here: Based on the 2012 PhD thesis The identification of therapeutic targets in metastatic melanoma by Dr Ken DuttonRegester, this video pays homage to the 2002 iconic electrohouse dance track and accompanying construction video Satisfaction by Benny Benassi. The original film clip and music score is uniquely suited as a platform for describing the process for those completing a PhD and writing a thesis (or dissertation). High energy, repetitive lyrics, punctuated by consistent thumping beats; perfect symbolism for the monotonous, at times repetitive nature of the PhD endeavour while capturing the everpresent stress of an impending submission deadline.
