Title reads: THE FLIGHT FROM FURNES. The deep unutterable woe, which none save exiles feel. Furnes, Belgium. Refugees from town of Furnes which was bombed by the German army. MS many refugees walking down the road carrying bundles, babies and pulling carts loaded with belongings, mainly women and children. Church steeples can be seen in distance. A few military trucks drive past. Displaced persons, World War One. End title: Babes sleep to the awful lullaby of the screeching shells.
