This is Jim Jackson s Kansas City Blues, first recorded October 10, 1927. The hat tip goes to, probably the best country blues man in the world, Paul Rishell. I struggled with this tune till he simply told me that it was in Open D, then it all came flying together. This is more his arrangement than it s Jim Jackson s. That s David Battiscombe on bass, and the incredible Nelson Lunding on the acoustic baby grand.
