Hua Hin is constructing a New Train Station which will be prepared for a double track so trains can travel faster. Now it takes about 5 hours to go to Bangkok, but this will be cut down to between 2 to 3 hours. The new train will go 160 km per hour. The old station will be turned into a museum.
