Ask Me Why The Beatles Full Instrumental Cover
This might be the best track on Please Please Such a gem. I could go on and on about things I love here. It s all there a tight rhythm section, driving guitars, magical harmonies. This would probably be in the top 5 of any other band s greatest hits. Too bad it doesn t get more credit It s quickly becoming one of my favorite early Beatles songs. A few things of note on the instrumentation. First, I m totally bragging but this is the second tune after Something where I literally memorized every note of Paul s bassline. It s another one that changes every verse, so it must be intentional. He was such a masterful musician, even in the early days. Second, John s rhythm guitar totally makes this song groove. He was such a underrated guitarist, since this isn t remotely easy to play. Dude had chops. I also adore the sound of the J160E here. Majestic. Instruments: 1962 Gibson J160E (Pyramid. 11 Flats) H
