This is the full version of her poem. Amanda Gorman, a graduate of Harvard University, was the Inaugural Youth Poet Laureate of the United States. Amanda responded to the hopelessness of the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protest to write Fury and Faith. She wrote these encouraging words to lead us to instill courage in our hearts: whether we prevail in these times is not determined by all the challenges present but by the change that is possible
