Making Alexander Mc Queens Kimono Jacket

The making of this kimono, jacket hybrid by Alexander McQueen was quite the undertaking. I found this pattern a while ago, but quickly put it off to the side as the instructions weren t easy to understand. I recently found the pattern again and decided to make it. After recreating all the steps on a miniature version, I finally made the actual sized jacket and I m so happy with the outcome. Although, I altered the pattern and constructed it slightly differently to have a more finished appearance (hiding all the raw edges adding interior pockets) it still resembles the original design.
