American War Reporter (1944)
Unused, unissued material date and locations unclear or unknown. Various shots of an American war reporter sitting at his typewriter, typing and smoking a cigarette. The typewriter is on the bonnet of a jeep. He looks up at the camera, smiles and gives us a typical GI wave Another soldier sits typing under a tree. He keeps adjusting his helmet so it sits at a natty angle. An older US war correspondent makes notes in a little notebook. A third soldier, with a beard, uses a typewriter that is balanced on his knees. A clean shaven soldier does same. Yet another soldier types while sitting in a jeep. He stares at the camera then breaks into a smile. A bespectacled soldier talks into a microphone. He carries bulky sound equipment on his back like a ruck sack. Another correspondent does same. GI with moustache takes photographs with his camera. Note: all the above sequences look rather staged. FILM A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ
