Yellow Cube Machine

The (former) World s Fastest LEGO Mindstorms NXT Speedcubing robot. See the current fastest, CubeStormer II at This robot is constructed entirely from LEGO, including a webcam from LEGO Vision Command. It is able to solve a 3x3x3 Rubik s cube from any position in under 20 seconds including the initial image capture. The robot is controlled by a program running on a laptop that uses an algorithm developed by me to find a solution that is specifically tuned to give a fast result according to the mechanical abilities of the robot. Both the application running on the laptop and the embedded software running on the two NXTs were written in C++. The laptop communicates with one of the NXTs via USB and the NXTs communicate with each other via Bluetooth. Enjoy
