Pentatonic Scale Shredding, How To Come Up With Cool Licks
Today s topic: pentatonic scale shredding I show you a cool practical example and some of my methods on how to come up with cool licks in this context. This scale is often reduced to a beginner scale because most of us start out with it when we dive into the world of improvisation and solos. It consists out of 5 notes while popular shred scales like the modes, harmonic minor or phrygian dominant consist out of 7 notes, hence called heptatonic scales. That means that the preferred fingering with less notes is 2 notes per string in this video we extend it to 3 notes per string to come up with more interesting patterns.
