Dr. Debesh Bhattacharya: Western Aid v. NIEO

A 1976 seminar on ABC television, where the late Dr Debesh Bhattacharya (19392020) presented a full critique of western foreign aid ( development cooperation ), engaging with two of the leading NGO aid agencies of that time (Freedom from Hunger and World Vision). Overlaid images from more recent times show that not a lot has changed, and that Dr Bhattacharya s critique of aid as neocolonialism remains very relevant today.
