Koreyoshi Kuraharas ingeniously plotted, pocketsize noir concerns the intertwined fates of a desperate bank manager, blackmailed for bookcooking, and his resentful but timid underling, passed over for a promotion. The marvelously moody Intimidation (Aru kyouhaku) is an elegantly strippeddown andcarefully paced crime drama.
