PPSh41 , Quick full auto review
The PPSh41, chambered in 7. 62x25mm Tokarev, was designed by Georgy Shpagin and its the Russian answer to the Thompson, with a faster rate of fire (1250rpm versus the Thomson s 700800rpm). It is a very controllable, fun firearm to shoot with and at the end, not so chubby. With a full drum magazine it weights around 5. 5kg (12 pounds). The box magazine can fit 35 rounds, but the drum can fit up to 71 rounds. When the Germans captured a large number of the PPSh41, they converted it to use the standard German SMG cartridge 9x19mm and named it the MP41. Unconverted ones, known as the MP717, were supplied with the almost identical 7. 63x25mm Mauser ammo and put in use. The Soviets produced more than 5 million Shpagins by the end of the second World War.
