Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination Panel Discussion 1

The recent upsurge in racial discrimination, especially in the COVID19 context, requires mobilizing a powerful global effort to step up UNESCOs actions to tackle the alarming increase in racism and discrimination in all regions of the world. As a response, UNESCO organized a Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination on 22 March 2021 in the context of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The Panel Discussion 1 entitled How to establish antiracist policies: policymakers at the forefront of the global fight against racism highlighted the crucial need to establish national antiracism action plans, and enhance existing ones, ensuring that opportunities for education, and other key enablers are made available especially for vulnerable communities.
