HMS Queen Elizabeth sails from Portsmouth for GROUPEX

After being delayed for two days due to a handful of COVID19 cases, HMS Queen Elizabeth sailed from Portsmouth this afternoon with six 820 NAS Merlin helicopters on deck. She is heading for exercise JointWarrior and the Carrier Strike GROUPEX including US and Dutch warships 15 jets will join the ship, the largest embarkation of F35s afloat in the world so far.
