AMV Ceaselessly into the Past

After seeing Baz Luhrmann s film adaption of The Great Gatsby and listening to the soundtrack, I was hit with a flash of inspiration. The themes of loss, obsession, longing, nostalgia, and desperately searching for something these were all reflected in Millennium Actress, and I had always wanted to do an AMV with this movie. For this particular project, I wanted to emphasize Chiyoko s self reflection of her own life, and the inevitable passage of time. I also wanted to examine Genya Tachibana s own quest and love for Chiyoko; something I felt hadn t been reflected in many Millennium Actress AMVs to date.
