Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin arr. by Emre Sabuncuoglu

In celebration of Black History Month, were honoring the great Scott Joplin. Dubbed the King of Ragtime, Joplin reinvigorated American popular music and popularized the African American sound across Europe. He also wrote two operas and one ballet during his short but prolific career. The piece was originally written for solo piano. In this arrangement, we bring Joplin s lively syncopation and playful rhythms to the classical guitar, in the original key. Arranged and performed by Emre Sabuncuoglu.
