Static Shock (season 3, episode 14)

Flashback Release date: 060703 Plot: Five years ago, when a blackout hit the city, Dakota was hit by gang riots (as a possible play on the Los Angeles riots of 1992). As Virgil tries to regain memories of his mother, who was killed that night, a new metahuman, Nina Crocker aka TimeZone, seeks out the help of Static and Gear. When Gear invents a device that puts her timetraveling capabilities under control, the remote is stolen by Ebon. Static accidentally burns out the circuits, and sends them all back five years to the Dakota gang riots where Virgil comes facetoface with his late mother, Jean.
