Ennio Morricone has been one of the most influential composers and musicians in our lifetime. With his elegant and lush melodies combined with a peculiar sense of music harmony, he was able to create masterpieces that enhanced greatly the atmosphere in the movies his music was used to. There is more to Morricone though: compared to other soundtrack composers, whose pieces lose a great deal if played without the visual part, his compositions stand firmly on their own, and for this reason, thousands of musicians play them in any kind of instruments settings: classical, jazz, folk, rock, you name it. With this arrangement and video, I wish to pay tribute to him and to his city, Rome, in which I am lucky to live.
