Rioters break into Rotherham hotel as violence leaves 10 police officers injured
Chairs have been hurled at police and windows were smashed as masked antiimmigration rioters broke into a hotel in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Objects including pieces of wood were thrown at the Holiday Inn Express and at police officers who lined up in front of the building as they tried to protect it. At least 10 officers were injured, including one who was left unconscious, in violent scenes as the prime minister vowed rioters would regret engaging in farright thuggery.
