Number 27. Gavotte. From 50 Graded Studies for Recorder. Sally Adams and Paul Harris. I m posting one of these studies every week. The challenges in this study include making it sound like a dance whilst making it legato. Also breathing is difficult. I slowed down and had a bit of a breather towards the end of the middle section rather than snatching a breath which wouldn t have sounded very good. I d have had to take a very quick breath if playing with others. My teacher doesn t live nearby so I ll only have occasional lessons. Constructive criticism welcome. I sit as i do due to physical disability. Thank you. Michael
