Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has long been an outspoken advocate for oppressed people across the globe, whether in Yemen, Palestine, Peru or elsewhere. Hes also defended Julian Assange and called for peace in Ukraine. And for his trouble and sticking his neck out hes been pilloried and smeared, in particular recently by his Pink Floyd bandmate David Gilmour.
