The galaxy is fittingly named after its resemblance to the broadrimmed, hightopped Mexican hat. M104 is 50, 000 lightyears across and is 30 million miles from The image is deep in detail, not only with the centerpiece galaxy, but with all the other tiny galaxies around it that can still be resolved.
