Dr Strange Costume Tutorial Cape

So finally getting back to the Dr. Strange costume tutorial with the cape. As much as I like the comic book version of the cape with the gold stripes, I decided to go ahead and create the movie version instead. It s difficult to find exact matches for the materials used on the cape, so just find the closest you can. The design is pretty recognizable, so the textures don t have to be an exact match. There were also several different textures and prints on the back, I just simplified it a lot, and narrowed it down to the just the two types of material to make it easier. The checkerboard pattern on the lining actually has more colors and a bigger pattern than the fabric that I used, but this was the closest I could find in my local fabric store. This cape does require a fair bit of sewing, but if you re not confident with a sewing machine, you can always just fabric glue everything together.
