Dan Walker (James Craig) is a thoughtful Texan baseball player who establishes a ranch for underprivileged boys living in the city. Among the kids who stay at the rustic getaway are the endearing youngster Butch (Jackie Butch Jenkins) and the troublemaking Skippy (Skippy Homeier). While Butch warms up to the ranch relatively quickly, Skippy seems intent on disrupting things for everyone.
